Concrete supports in a time of need is one of the protective factors in the Strengthening Families Protecitve Factors Framework. At some point every family needs help. Each family is different: some will ask for help, some won't; some already know the services they need and are able to get them independently or with just a little help. If we can help families access these essential sources of help, we will be building protective factors against stress and in turn, against possible child maltreatment. Join Susan Morris-Wilson, Youth Options and Right Roads Recovery Executive Director, as she shines a spotllight on this protective factor.
